Broughton PC & Partners - Growing food £4,560 PART-FUNDED

"Within the built up city, we need access to space for children, families and wider communities. A good outdoor environment, which we can use, is a right, but currently an inequality. Partners are: Broughton Primary School Parent Council, Leith Walk Primary School Parent Council, Saheliya, and Drummond Community High School Parent Council. We will plant, harvest, cook and learn about food. We will grow colourful crops, (peas, sweetcorn, sunflowers), in school playgrounds. Saheliya will promote the participation of ethnic minority women’s and their families. This will let people experience first-hand the joy of improving their environment, learning about and improving their diet."
